Welcome to our Boys to Men Blog! Here you will find updates on groups that are running for adult men and male youth, as well as news articles on issues of interest to men and male youth.
Manology, a discussion group for adult men, is in its spring session, which runs from April 10th to June 5th. Manology meets every Thursday evening in the Family Center Group room from 6-7:30 pm. Each evening is broken down into roughly three sections: 30 min check-in / 30 min presentation / 30 min discussion. All conversations are led by the intrepid Justin Telfer. Some evenings he is joined by a guest speaker. This is an open group and all men are welcome. You can join any Thursday.
Our spring session will start after March break.
Band of Guys , a drop-in group for male youth (12-18) meets at the Golden Youth Centre every Thursday from 4-6 pm. The Band of Guys is a place and a time for guys to hang-out and do something they enjoy – music, comic books, art, pool, foosball, writing, computer lab – in a safe and non-judgmental place. Patrick O’Neill is the fearless coordinator of the Golden Youth Centre and also of the Band of Guys.
