Thank you Jana and Nate Briggs & the Kicking Horse Cup!
We’d like to say a big Thank You to Nate and Jana Briggs for their generous donation to the Golden Family Center and the people it serves. Nate and Jana took on the organization of this year’s Kicking Horse Cup – a three stage road race – that took place on August 19-20, 2017. Nate and Jana explained on the Kicking Horse Cup web site what made them decide to donate to the Golden Family Center:
We also need mention that the community of Golden suffered a great loss in May of this year when a young man ended his battle with depression by taking his own life. This man was a very active member of the community including the president of the Golden Cycling Club. He was also our dear friend and a passionate cycling enthusiast. It is in his memory that we plan to donate proceeds from this event to the Golden Family Center so they can continue to be there for people in need.
